You Might Think I’m Crazy
I might just agree too. I’ve been doing all sorts of things lately that break my status quo. I’m actually posting to this site, I volunteered to be president of a large “corporation” for one of my classes, I’ve been playing more video games, and I’m taking on way more work than what’s probably healthy. All of these (except maybe the last one) are completely out of character for me.
I figured a post would be a good idea since a lot of things have happened since my last “update.” For one, I signed a full time offer with the Mozilla Corporation to work on Firefox, among other things. As you may know, I interned with them this summer. It was a great experience, so I decided to work there full time once I graduate. I also started a new set of classes, most of which nobody reading this will actually care about. A few other tidbits happened, but none of which are memorable enough currently to be typed.
The whole president of a large corporation things still boggles my mind, as well as others. Basically I’m in charge of six department heads, with a total of 30-50 people overall in the company. It requires me to break way outside of my “social bubble,” which is something I rarely do. I’ve gotten the question “why did you volunteer to do that?” so many times now, it’s kinda funny. Of course, I don’t know the answer to that, so if you have an idea, please let me know.
Video games are my new form of stress relief, which is why I’ve been playing them more and more. For the record, Rock Band is a fun game to play and you should pick it up. Hours of enjoyment will result. I can now hack it on expert with the guitar. I’m quite impressed with myself since I haven’t really sunk too much time into the game. Halo 3 is of course fun too, but I find that it often comes with stress too.
That’s it for the short recap. Blogging is hard, let’s go shopping.
